Distinct Lithospheric Structure in the Xing'an?Mongolian Orogenic Belt

چکیده

Detailed knowledge of the lithospheric structure is essential for a better understanding tectonic evolution Xing'an-Mongolian Orogenic Belt (XMOB). We constrained across XMOB by receiver function imaging and shear wave splitting analysis from dense seismic array. The lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary (LAB) coherently imaged in different blocks. mid-lithospheric discontinuity also identified at ?75–100 km depth over deeper LAB (?110–130 km) beneath western side North-South Gravity Lineament (NSGL), roughly same as eastern NSGL. distinct variations both fast shear-wave polarization direction NSGL are likely caused processes two sides, indicating that might represent influenced subduction (Paleo-)Pacific Plate. Lithosphere thinning evidenced to have been limited mainly east

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

the role of thematic structure in comprehending spoken language

in fact this study is concerned with the relationship between the variation in thematice structure and the comprehension of spoken language. so the study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any relationship between thematic structure and the comprehension of spoken language? 2. which of the themes would have greated thematic force and be easier for the subjects to comprehend? accord...

Role of supra-subduction zone ophiolites in the tectonic evolution of the southeastern Zagros Orogenic Belt, Iran

Ophiolitic rocks in the southeastern part of the Zagros Orogenic Belt can be separated from southwest to northeast, into two groups: the Neyriz ophiolites and the Naien–Shahrebabak–Baft ophiolites. The southeast sector of Sanandaj-Sirjan wasdelimited by the two nearly synchronous ophiolitic belts in its southwestern and northeastern margins. In this study, new ophiolitic formation models were u...

Lithospheric scale gravitational flow: the impact of body forces on orogenic processes from Archaean to Phanerozoic

In the Archaean, the combination of warmer continental geotherm with a lighter sub-continental lithospheric mantle suggests that gravitational forces played a more significant role in continental lithospheric deformation. To test this hypothesis, we compare the evolution of the deformation and the regional state of stress in ‘Archaean-like’ and ‘Phanerozoic-like’ lithospheres submitted to the s...
